Job Title: Automation Engineer/Applications

Job Duties: Virtue9 Consulting, Inc. in Cedar Park, Texas is seeking Automation Engineers/Applications to Develop Code for Quality Automation.

Individuals will apply advanced theoretical and practice knowledge of subject matter principles and concepts.

Job responsibilities and duties include the following:

1. Work with the team to validate functionality as delivered by the sprint teams and write test cases for features being developed.
2. Work closely with management, architects, technologists, PO and Agile development team to implement overall direction of the product.
3. Responsible for developing code for quality automation and ensuring extensive unit test coverage of the code.
4. Responsible for monitoring resource usage for physical servers, application servers and databases to drive optimization changes in production environment.
5. Provide performance tuning strategies for concerning areas include user-perceived response time, network performance, and database performance.
6. Testing both the IOS and Android applications to ensure the critical feature functionality is tested across supported mobile devices.
7. Maintain the library test cases and work with existing QA team members to help validate.
8. Ensure standards around test cases, test automation, and critical test cases are held in accordance with Rally care QA guidelines.
9. Responsible for setting up the CI/CD pipeline.
10. Organizing releases and test cases through Test Rail and Jira.
11. Coding in Python and Java to automate critical product features.

Minimum requirements:

Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or any related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position.

Individuals must also possess demonstrable knowledge and proficiency working with the following: Java, Python, Test Rail, JIRA.

*Note: Demonstrable proficiency means being able to demonstrate a level of technical knowledge and skill sufficient enough to successfully complete tasks in the associated competency without assistance.

Position is project-based at various unanticipated worksites within the U.S. and relocation may be required at the end of each long-term project.
